The 5th of July Foundation has made a donation to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which defends civil liberties in the digital world.
If you want to support the EFF’s important work, now is a particularly good time. Until the end of the year, your donation will help unlock a number of “challenge grants” which increase the total donation.
If you prefer to support us, the 5th of July Foundation, you can do so with a donation or by buying our clothes.
The 5th of July Foundation has made a donation to the Tor Project, which develops tools that enable anonymous communication through onion routing.
Each donation to the Tor Project is matched with the same sum, up to 250,000 USD in total donations, until the end of the year. You can donate to the Tor Project here.
As always, you can also donate to us, or buy and wear our clothes as a way to support our work for a free internet.
Our new stickers will fit perfectly on your laptop or other device. They send the clear message that Internet Rights Are Human Rights, and that you support our work for Security. Privacy. Liberty.
The stickers are die-cut, scratch-repellently glossy, and measure 5 x 5 cm (about 2 x 2 inches).
You can’t buy the stickers, but if you’ve made a donation of at least 100 SEK, or if you’ve ordered our clothes, we’d be happy to send you a bunch of stickers as a thank you. Just send us an email (info AT 5july.org) with your address.

As of today, the 5th of July Foundation is one of the signatories of the open “privacy letter” to Apple.
The letter is a result of Apple’s plans to give an American organisation access to content stored on your own phone or other Apple device.
In signing the letter, the 5th of July Foundation asks that:

The 5th of July Foundation has donated 500 USD to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, which will be doubled by fund donors to 1,000 USD in their Power Up campaign. We also became official members.
EFF is an American nonprofit organisation “defending civil liberties in the digital world”.
Today is the last day to have your donation doubled – go ahead and support digital liberty!
The European Commission is currently crafting a new legal framework for the internet. The so called Digital Services Act will replace the old Ecommerce directive from the year 2000.
As part of this process, the Commission has initiated a public consultation, in which the 5th of July Foundation has participated. The public consultation ends today.
