In addition to providing concrete tools to enhance internet users’ security, privacy and liberty, and reporting about the state of the internet worldwide, The 5th of July Foundation may also run other relevant projects.
Sponsoring of human rights activists
The 5th of July Foundation has a very hands-on approach to sponsoring: We can provide free VPN (Virtual Private Network) accounts to activists, dissidents and academics in countries where the internet is blocked or where activists are persecuted.
If you think we should sponsor you or your institution, send us an email – preferably encrypted – where you explain your situation and why you think you would be eligible for a free VPN account:

We primarily sponsor organizations of various kinds, not individuals. We do not reveal who we have sponsored in this way, but we will provide general examples of what kind of institutions we have sponsored so far.
Integrity VPN is also available as a paid service through selected Internet Service Providers in Sweden and Finland:
We use the money we earn from Integrity VPN for activism and sponsoring that further our goal: To provide security, privacy and liberty for the internet users of the world.
